This is a small but interesting part of the story about the school districts that were previously mandated to purchase all insurance through WEA Trust, a nonprofit affiliated with the largest teachers union. The collective-bargaining component of Walker’s plan has yielded especially large financial dividends for school districts. Before the reform, many districts’ annual union contracts required them to buy health insurance from WEA Trust, a nonprofit affiliated with the state’s largest teachers’ union. Once the reform limited collective bargaining to wage negotiations, districts could eliminate that requirement from their contracts and start bidding for health care on the open market. When the Appleton School District put its health-insurance contract up for bid, for instance, WEA Trust suddenly lowered its rates and promised to match any competitor’s price. Appleton will save $3 million during the current school year.

How ’bout that? And of course, the progressive unions are responding by recalling Walker for making them look bad and showing them to be the liars and statists they are! And while he is actually doing something positive for his citizens of immediate benefit to them across the board, the unions are doing their utmost to stop real progress and instead regress back to the unsustainable past! Madness! The question is, will the citizens of Wisconsin see through the b.s. and hype to the truth and support Gov. Walker!?!
I love the fact the few million drones signed the Unions petition to recall, the brave Governor Scott Walker. The numbers speak for themselves and this will be a huge win for right-to-work across the nation.
Way to go UNIONS YOU JUST MADE THE ENTIRE NATION AWARE OF HOW MUCH YOU COST EVERYONE AT THE BENEFIT OF THE FEW.
