Take a Hard Right

Geeezz people, what has to happen, before we rise from our apathy and educate ourselves? Isn’t it obvious to all of us by now, that this Great Country has been slowly steered to the Left over the last 100 years: by both parties? The change has been subtle, you didn’t see it happening, then you wake up one morning and say “OMG”. (Oops, I said GOD). We’ve gone so Left for, so long, it is time to TAKE A HARD RIGHT. With any luck we won’t over steer, and end up on the right side of the road.

Good point, though I don’t know it is so much about Left and Right, but more, (my opinion), that we, the People are either Free or Enslaved.
I know, it’s a strong word for everyone. Please, don’t be upset, it is something that we’ve put behind us, but Free is the best part of Freedom. You were thinking……..Enslaved

Both comments are right on. And the FRAMERs knew that it might happen. In Federalist 57, Hamilton or Madison wrote:

“If it be asked what is to restrain the House of Representatives from making legal discrimination in favor of themselves and a particular class of the society? I answer: the genius of the whole system; the nature of just and constitutional laws; and above all the vigilant and manly spirit which actuates the people of America – a spirit which nourishes freedom, and in return is nourished by it.
If this spirit shall ever be so far debased as to tolerate a law not obligatory on the legislature, as well as the people, the people will be prepared to tolerate anything but liberty.”

We can not fix the whole country but we can do our part to swing Jefferson County’s representation right. There is a Presidential race to influence as well as a Senate and three House races. We can start by showing up Thursday, bringing a guest, and start planning what to do with the caucus.

You are correct abou the apathy of the citizenry, though many are waking up to the danger and responding; our duty remains to educate and inform the citizens in line with our core values in our mission statement; and help secure public policy consistent with that. We had some success with that last night when some of us spoke against the EPA Urban Waters grant program and the county council thankfully removed it from the agenda. Get informed and get involved; or accept the results of your lack of action! As Jefferson said: “Educate and inform the whole mass of the people… They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.”

To start, please read the Call to Action piece, which has a wealth of links to additional information for education on this important issue that is affecting us all and is being implemented locally across the board and must be resisted! Thoughtful commentary is welcome.

Freedom isn’t LEFT or RIGHT. Our country became great because people blazed their trail, not worried about which side of the road they were on.

Many didn’t have what it took on the frontier and lost their lives, but a few survived making this country what it is today.

Let the “ill-equipped” fail. Why is this so bad. You want to sit around and get stoned all day with your same-sex partner, go for it. Cut out welfare problems and these problems fix themselves and there is no need for BIG GOV’T POLICIES TO VIOLATE OUR FREEDOM.

Sorry—didnt proofread. Cut out welfare “programs” and these problems fix them selves. Then there is no need for big government policies to push the agenda of your own personal belief systems.

PLEASE STAY OUT OF MY LIFE MR PRESIDENT.
